“Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world” by Gustave Flaubert. Tourism is a travel for recreational, leisure, or business purposes. The world Tourism Organization define tourist as people travelling to and staying in a places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes. Besides that, tourism has become a popular global leisure activity. Tourism is important for some cases and vital for many countries. Tourism had recognized by Manila Declaration on World Tourism of 1980 as an activity essential to life of nations because of its direct effects on the social, cultural, educational and economic sectors of national societies. With tourism, it brings a large amount of income in payment. There are also goods and services available. Due to that, it creates opportunities for employment in the service sector of the economy with tourism. These services industries include transportation services, such as airlines, cruise ships and taxicabs. Moreover, hospitality services such as accommodations, including hotels and resorts and entertainment venues, for example amusement parks, casinos, shopping malls, music venues and theatres.

To illustrate one of the places that can be visited in this world is the country that is known with the multicultural citizen named, Malaysia. It is very well known with many races and religious. Malays, Indians, Chinese and many other ethnic groups live together in peace and harmony. In other words, multiculturalism made Malaysia a gastronomical paradise and home to hundreds of colourful festivals. As a people, Malaysians are very relaxed, warm and friendly. Geographically, Malaysia has 13 states, 11 states in peninsular Malaysia and two federal territories which is Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur that is separated by the South China Sea. Sabah and Sarawak, on the island of Borneo that is situated at the east of Malaysia and the third federal territory, the island of Labuan. West Malaysia is bordered by Thailand to the north, Singapore to the south, the South China Sea to the east. East Malaysia shares its southern border with Indonesia, its northern border with Brunei, and is cradled by the South China Sea to the west and north, and the Sulu Sea to the northeast. One of Malaysia's key attractions is its extreme contrasts which further add to this theme of ‘diversity’. Towering skyscrapers look down upon wooden houses built and five-stars hotels sit just metres away from ancient reefs. For example, The world's tallest freestanding twin towers that is situated in the Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC). It has 88-story towers and 1,482 feet above the city skyline. It is also connected by a sky-bridge on the 41st floor. The sky-bridge is open to public from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. It takes 41 seconds to shoot up to the midpoint of Petronas Twin Towers. Tickets to the skybridge run out fast, but it is not every day that you can get to feel on top of the world.

Malaysia truly Asia :)

Next, if you are up for a foodie adventure Malaysia is the best place ever to be visited as there are a lot of dishes that is prepared there. Malaysian food is not one particular kind of food, but instead a unique culinary tastes and textures. Its various dishes originate from the multi-ethnic population that has created an exotic cuisine unlike any other. Such as, nasi lemak is a Malay cuisine, roti canai and curry from Indian cuisine and yong tau fu is a Chinese cuisine. From aromatic Malay dishes to hot Chinese delicacies and spicy Indian food, Malaysia is a food lover’s paradise.
lots of foods. yummy!

Due to the diverse culture inside Malaysia, therefore, the existence of multicultural events and festivals are celebrated by its people. Each races has their own event and festivals. Muslims in Malaysia prepare for one of the holiest celebrations in the Islamic calendar, the Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Hari Raya means ‘day of celebration’ while Aidifitri is known as 'festival of fast-breaking.' Chinese New Year is also celebrated in Malaysia. It is celebrated by the Chinese people. It is a joyous occasion marked by family reunions. During the festival, giving away of mandarin oranges is a must, it is a symbol of prosperity and good luck for the recipients. Another highlight is the traditional lion dance that will always be seen when Chinese New Year is coming. For the Hindu community in Malaysia and around the world, the 'Deepavali' or 'Diwali' marks one of the most significant dates on the calendar. The celebration includes visits  to the temples and pray with their household. Besides that, Christmas is also celebrated here. Malaysian Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25th each year just like all the Christians in other parts of the world. Moreover, in Malaysia not only Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and Christmas but also Hari Raya Aidil Adha, Thaipusam, Gawai Dayak, Prophet Mohammed's Birthday, Lantern and Mooncake Festival, Wesak Day and much more that is celebrated there.
multiculture

In a nut shell, the State Governments in all country are now, also busy in developing the places of tourist interest in their respective States. They are planning to bring about new schemes for effecting tourist complexes by joining a number of tourist spots by means of road-link, bus-service and much more. It is hoped that tourism in all country will highly develop by the combined efforts of the Central Government and the State Governments. We as citizens should work together with governments in an effort to develop and expand the tourism sector of our country and not just sit around and watch the governments do all the work by themselves. With this collaboration between governments and citizens, our country can move forward to be came a better country in the future and can sit at the same level with other developed countries around the world. In other words, our country’s name will be well-known in the universe. "Anyone who imagines they can work alone winds up surrounded by nothing but rivals, without companions. The fact is, no one ascends alone" by Lance Amstrong. So, see the world. It is more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories. Ask for no guarantees, ask for no security.
